"This edition of Dante Alighieri's Inferno was illuminated and hand-lettered by George Cochrane. It is the sixty-seventh imprint of Thornwillow Press and was designed and produced under the direction of Luke Ives Pontifell. Twenty-one copies on eggshell paper were bound in full leather ... Sixty-six copies on eggshell paper were bound in scarlet half-morocco and paste paper boards; one hundred and fifty copies on eggshell paper left the press unbound; three hundred copies on felt paper were bound in half-cloth and letterpress boards; six hundred copies on felt paper were bound in paper-wrappers."--Colophon
