Language! is designed to help students close the achievement gap. It is designed for struggling readers, writers, speakers, and spellers. Cumulative and sequential multisensory activities engage students while establishing skills in phonemic awareness and phonics, word recognition and spelling, vocabulary and morphology, and grammar and usage. Language! teaches literacy explicitly, sequentially, and cumulatively. The curriculum comprises six levels, Books A - F, each with six units of instruction (10 lessons per unit). Based on a group-administered placement test, students enter the curriculum at skill level A, C, or E.
