Soledad Puértolas

Soledad Puértolas Villanueva (Zaragoza, 3 de febrero de 1947) es una escritora española licenciada en Periodismo y máster en Lengua Española y Portuguesa por la Universidad de California. Desde 2010 es académica de la Real Academia Española. Su obra literaria y su trayectoria intelectual y personal en el ámbito de la cultura han sido reconocidas con numerosos premios, incluyendo el Premio Planeta (1989) por su novela Queda la noche, y el Premio Anagrama de Ensayo (1993) por su ensayo La vida oculta.


Soledad Puértolas Villanueva (Zaragoza, 3 February 1947) is a Spanish writer with a degree in Journalism and a Master's degree in Spanish and Portuguese Language from the University of California. She has been a member of the Real Academia Española since 2010. Her literary work and her intellectual and personal career in the field of culture have been recognised with numerous awards, including the Planeta Prize (1989) for her novel Queda la noche, and the Anagrama Essay Prize (1993) for her essay La vida oculta.
