Albert Jay Nock

13 October 1870 - 19 August 1945

Albert Jay Nock was an American journalist/essayist. He was primarily a social critic, penning works opposing centralization, regulation, the income tax, and mandatory education. Today, he is seen as a major influence on the modern American libertarian movement.
