He has also written books on Cream, Kurt Cobain, Genesis, Jeff Beck, Bob Marley, and Deep Purple (the list goes on), and he has been a contributor to Rolling Stone, Goldmine, MOJO, All Music Guide, and more. Thompson lives in Newark, Delaware.
