Pour m'en instruire, j'allai trouver un plus celebres quakers d'Angleterre, qui, apres avoir ete trente ans dans le avait su mettre des bornes a sa fortune et a ses desirs, et s'etait retire dans une campagne aupres de Londres. Je fus le chercher dans sa retraite ; c'etait une maison petite, mais bien batie, pleine de proprete sans ornement.
