Printed in red and black ink; hand-colored and illuminated by Clara Schlegel.

Prefatory essay, by Elbert Hubbard, originally appeared as chapter on Goldsmith in his Little journeys to the homes of good men and great, published 1895.

Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy quarterbound in green cloth and gray paper, as issued, and is autographed, under the limitation statement on p.[5], by both Clara Schlegel and Elbert Hubbard. This copy is no. 29 of 470.
