A facsimile reprint of the original edition published by Cambridge University Press, Cambridge, 1891.

The original text of the Apology is lost. A recension of it is preserved in the Greek version of the legend of Barlaam and Joasaph (Nachor's speech to the king). Besides the Syriac translation, discovered by P.R. Harris in 1889, a fragment of an Armenian translation exists in two manuscripts which contain the first two chapters.

Includes bibliographical references and indexes.

With text in English, Syriac, Armenian, and Greek.
