Viktor Emil Gardthausen

[Deutsch] Victor Emil Gardthausen (* 1843 in Kopenhagen; † 1925 in Leipzig) war ein deutscher Althistoriker, Paläograph, Bibliothekar und Professor für Alte Geschichte und Epigraphik an der Universität Leipzig. Alleine und in Co-Autorenschaft schuf er mehrere bis heute wichtige Hilfsmittel der Byzantinistik und der Paläographie.

[English] Victor Emil Gardthausen (* 1843 in Copenhagen, † 1925 in Leipzig) was a German historian, Palaeographer, Librarian and Professor of Ancient History and Epigraphy at the University of Leipzig. Alone and in co-authorship, he created several still important resources of the Byzantinology and Paleography.
