This paperback release updated previous mass market editions, including new map art, a study guide, and additional commentary and narrative from Goldman appended to the Buttercup's Baby chapter regarding delays in the publishing of the sequel. At this point, the address readers are encouraged to write to in order to be sent a free copy of "Goldman's additional reunion scene" has been changed to a website address. Additionally, the cover art was changed to better resemble the portrayal of the characters in the movie, reflecting the movie's success and the fact that readers often find the book after first viewing the movie.
