Nichol assures Garrison that her mourning for her deceased husband will not be indefinite, and commits herself to obviating the "suffering & deprivations" of her "fellow creatures", asserting that such would have been the wishes of John Pringle Nichol. Nichol provides instruction for the delivery of her subscription to the Liberator. Nichol expresses her hopes that Garrison will voyage to England again.
