This booklet comprises important articles selected by the Pakistan Association of Social Workers for publication. The prime objective was to disseminate social work knowledge. Their reading is useful for the professional, the voluntary social worker and the layman. Every little problem in life is a challenge and the social worker helps people to meet these challenges in a positive and constructive way thereby enabling them to lead better lives. Accordingly there is a need for imparting special training for social workers to enable them to help the individuals, groups and communities to enhance their capacities comprehensively. The articles in this book have been written by some of Pakistan's recognized and trained social workers.
