This is a review and tips book for Sega Genesis/Sega Mega Drive games. It is the second of three books by Jeff Rovin with the 'Gamemaster', title, which follows his successful 'How to Win at', series of books. This book reviews and details 141 games, with each entry for these games is broken up into the following sections; 'Story', 'Strategies', 'Comments', and a 'Violence' rating. The second part of the book is tips, passwords, and cheat codes for 182 games without an reviews information. Much of the 'Introduction' has information on violence in videogames. The final section of the book is 4 pages of blank lines for the reader to write, scores, passwords, or tips, and then 3 pages of blank square-graphs, to chart any progress, or map levels. All of the 'Short-Takes' section would be reprinted nearly word for word, in the book "Gamemaster: The Complete Video Game Guide 1995" ISBN: 0312954395, with additional games and other systems added for that book.
