Banks of Brandywine, verse in nine stanzas; first line: One morning, very early, in the pleasant month of May; followed by: The Mournful Tragedy of James Bird, tune--The tempest; first line: Sons of freedom, listen to me, and ye daughters, too, give ear.
Text in two columns, separated by type ornaments and: Sold, wholesale and retail, by Leonard Deming, corner of Merchant's Row & Market-Square.
Leonard Deming was at this address between 1829 and 1831.

Charles Miner, 1780-1865," in Proceedings and collections of the Wyoming Historical and Genealogical Society, v. 14, 1915, p. 117-126. First line: Sons of freedom, listen to me, and ye daughters, too, give ear.
Bird was shot in October 1814 for desertion from the "Niagara," after serving with bravery under Perry at the Battle of Lake Erie.
