La guerre : des millions de morts, des "femmes violés", des enfants orphelins, une "montagne de cadavres"... L'Ecrivain engendré par les violences de la mort doit échapper aux pièges des redondances littéraires figées par la dénonciation. Les discours qu'il institue permettront l'émergence des mythologies célébrant la terre de la liberté.
