SCNHRB copy of v. 10 (1834) has both the cancels and cancellanda for p. 125-128 (the cancels, each marked with an asterisk, are inserted between p. 242 and 243 in the same volume); v. 7, new ser. (1841) has an added title leaf and a sheet with three printed spine labels (including one for v. XVII; one for v. 1 (third series); and one for MDCCXLI -- all different ways of identifying this same volume) inserted at the back of the volume; v. 8, new ser. (1842) is imperfect: p. 657-672 are wanting, with photocopies inserted in their place.

SCNHRB copy of the first series has later blind- and gilt-tooled half leather bindings with marbled paper boards and brown sprinkled edges; v. 1-4, and 6-10 have modern archival boxes. The SCNHRB copies of the new ser. have modern green cloth library bindings (U.S. Patent Office; with U.S.P.O. accession no. 27,102) with gilt-tooled spine, and faux marbled endpapers and edges; v. 4-5 have modern archival boxes.
