Work Description

“Sargasso of Space” is my All Time Favorite Book with one of my all time favorite leading men, “Dane Thorson”, cargo-master apprentice fresh out of school and assigned to the free trader, “Solar Queen”. On his very first venture into the “outer rim” planets, Dane is a part of the “Queen’s” venture when a planet, enigmatic “Limbo” goes up for auction to the highest bidder. Having bought exclusive salvage rites to the mysterious planet the crew of the “Queen” soon discover it is one of those barren rocks, burned off to the very bedrock of the planet in a war that occurred millennia before the human race began walking upright. In spite of their misgivings about making a interstellar run without cargo, the crew decides to take a gamble and check out their purchase for anything salvageable. It isn’t long after landing the crew of the Queen discovers, “They are NOT Alone” and the adventure begins!
