A proclamation.: Whereas the Great and General Court or assembly of this province did at their session held in November last, make and pass an act, entitled, "An act for allowing necessary supplies to the Eastern Indians, and for regulating trade with them, preventing persons hunting on the eastward of Saco River, or trading with them, other than the truck-masters chosen by the General Court ... A proclamation: Whereas I have received information, that divers attempts have been made, by some evil-minded person or persons, to communicate the small-pox to the family of Benjamin Lynde, Esq; one of his majesty's Council for this province, by letters, containing the corrupt and infectious matter of the said distemper ... and by other ways and means ... and a reward of five hundred pounds old tenor, has been publickly offered by the said Benjamin Lynde ... Given under my hand at Concord, the twenty-eighth day of May 1752 ...

A proclamation: Whereas there has been lately published and dispersed within this province, an anonymous paper in the form of a ballad, called, a Sad and deplorable lamentation, &c.--wherein are contained many expressions horribly prophane and impious ... and tend very much to weaken, if not subvert the happy constitution of this government: and whereas one Robert Howland of Duxbury, and one Fobes Little of Little-Compton, are informed against for industriously publishing and dispersing, and one or both of them strongly suspected to be the authors of the paper aforesaid ... Given at the Council-chamber in Boston, the eighteenth day of April 1751 ...
