Contains 180 emblems arranged according to subject. This is 31 less than in the Latin ed. of the same date, but 44 more than in the Italian 1549 eds

Devices are from the same blocks as the whole series of Lyons eds. by Bonhomme and Roville. Several borders bear the letter P.V., most probably Pierre Vase, son of Jakob Eskrich

Dedication signed: Giovanni Marquale

An abridged, free translation of Emblemata. A previous ed. was translated by Marquale in 1549 and a later ed. in 1564
