Dr.Panchanan Saha, studied in Kolkata and London. He taught City College, Calcutta University about three decades. He had travelled extensively Europe and America. During early sixties of the last century he hitchhiked many countries in Europe starting from London for more than six weeks.He worked with Prof. Blair B Kling, an internationally known historian of Illinois University in his work on Dwarakanath Tagore- Partner in Empire. He was a student of Seminar of Prof. Eric Hobsbawm, the world famous historian in Birbeck College, London University. Prof. Hobsbawm has written the foreword of his book - Emigration of Indian Labour , 1834-1900.
