[English] Philipp Wilhelm Adolf Bastian (b. June 26, 1826 in Bremen, d. February 2, 1905 in Port-of-Spain, today Trinidad and Tobago) was a German anthropologist and founding director of the Museum of Ethnology in Berlin.
