There can be little doubt that it was Paul who thought through the theological implications of Christianity. It was Paul who thought through the deeper meaning of the brother the what of the Old Testament in the light of Calvary and in the light of that great experience which was his when, on the Damascus Road, he came face-to-face with Jesus of Nazareth and recognized Him at last as the risen, ascended and glorified Lord. It was Paul who coined the vocabulary of the New Testament. It was Paul who did justice to the cross. It was Paul who expounded the true meaning of Christ's coming and His present glorified position at God's right hand. It is in Paul's a pistol to the Romans that his magnificent grasp of the gospel is most fully displayed. Also would exercise the ministry of a pastor, evangelist or teacher, engage in personal work or have an intelligent understanding of the work of God in human soul must have a good grasp of Romans -- the gospel according to Paul. - Jacket flap.
