Cuando yo era seminarista o un joven sacerdote, si alguien me hubiera dicho las cosas acerca de la iglesia catolica que se ahora, yo me habria sentido ofendido; habria huido o me habria tapado los oidos. No habria crido tales acusaciones y las habria considerado como inventadas por el diablo. Yo habia sido entrenado en contra de todas esas cosas. Entre al seminario cuando tenia 16 anos y me aplique en el diligentemente. Doce anos mas tarde fui ordenado sacerdote catolico romano en la orden de los carmelitas descalzos. Cuando termine, yo hacia lo que se me ordenaba, y no deseaba mas que aumentar la iglesia, deseando vivir y morir como sacerdote caolico y quizas hasta llegar a ser un santo. Habia sido sacerdote por unos cinco anos cuando un cambio comenzo a operarse en mi vida. No estaba en paz. - La contraportada del libro.
