Edition Notes

Title from cover.

The Houghton Library copy consists of a blank memorandum book into which 27 poems have been pasted onto 29 leaves, with a printed label pasted onto the front cover and a sheet of printed extracts from newspaper reviews pasted inside the front cover. Inside each cover is a printed label: Watson Robinson. Bookseller, printer, & bookbinder. Sussex St. Blyth.

"For private circulation."

The poems are set in various fonts and printed on one side only, implying separate composition and printing, e.g., as proof sheets or as broadsides and slip ballads.
