Part 1 was published in 1807 under the title A supplement to Dr. Johnson's dictionary of the English language, or, a glosssary of obsolete and provincial words. The materials Boucher had accumulated were used to prepare a 2 pt. work which appeared in 1832-1833, under title "Boucher's Glossary of archaic and provincial words".

Jan. 1802 is the latest date mentioned in the text (p. 13n). A 4 p. supplement to these proposals was issued, dated April 3, 1802.
