Initial selection for salt tolerance in Rocky Mountain accessions of slender wheat grass and alpine bluegrass

ABSTRACT: This study screens wheatgrass and bluegrass from alpine and subalpine regions of the Rocky Mountains for their ability to survive in a saline medium. The results prove these plants are tolerant to saline conditions and proved to be valuable for agriculture and reclamation use.
