The Vindication consists of two numbers addressed to the people of Virginia and signed, Franklin. Page [24] contains a list of electors on the Republican ticket, recommended at a meeting held in Richmond, Jan. 21, 1800. The last seven pages are devoted to a vindication of the conduct of Thomas Jefferson while governor of Virginia, dated Richmond, April 12th, 1800.
