Of the medical history, pts.1 and 2 were prepared by J. J. Woodward, 1870-79; pt.3 by Charles Smart, 1888. Pt.1 contains also an appendix with reports of medical directors and other documents by J. J. Woodward and George A. Otis, with separate t.-p. and pagination. Of the surgical history, pts.1 and 2 were prepared by George A. Otis, 1870-76; pt.3 by G. A. Otis and D. L. Huntington, 1883.
Library's copy of pts. 1 and 3 are first issues (1870 and 1888); pt.2 is a second issue (1879). Library's copy of pts.1 and 3 of the Surgical history are second issues (1875 and 1883); pt.2 is a first issue (1876).
Library also owns the 3-volume index of the 1992 facsimile reprint,
