In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, Luther Lee criticizes Phelpśs letter printed in the Spectator. He makes references to various places in the letter, including the part Lee says Phelps ́vindicated́ the Liberator. Lee criticizes ́the leading abolitionistś of Boston and the Liberator for not upholding Christian doctrines, and expresses his disapproval of Phelps for associating himself with people like, Garrison, May and Burleigh.
