John Mawson welcomes William Lloyd Garrison to England, exclaiming that "thousands of warm hearts will beat with joy" at Garrison's return. Mawson expresses his hopes that Garrison will be able to pay a visit to his family's home during his stay, to reminisce and rejoice at the "result of [Garrison's] life's labours and to praise God for the marvellous wonders he has accomplished" through Garrison's efforts.
