An edition of [Letter to] Dear friend Garrison (1872)

[Letter to] Dear friend Garrison

Samuel May, Jr. writes William Lloyd Garrison informing him that he did not receive his letter from Richard D. Webb until the previous evening, and forwards this to Garrison for his review. May states that Mr. and Mrs. E. N. Magill visited him following their visits to S. S. Foster's and Garrison's, and writes that he sent with them a "copy of a portion of Richard's letter". May declares that much of Webb's letter is "indecipherable", having been written the day prior to the death of Webb's father, and in pencil, and that he has traced over the handwriting in ink so as to make it more comprehensible for Garrison.
