Oliver Johnson reports that Mr. May has informed him of William Lloyd Garrison's desire to revise his "speech on the Platform" prior to its being stereotyped. Johnson assents to this desire, but begs Garrison to make haste considering their August deadline. Johnson states that in regards to Garrison's suggestion that they secure T.D. Weld for one of their "celebrations" that Weld is unreachable for the summer, and difficult to obtain in any event. Johnson reiterates his desire for Garrison to attend, and complains of Edmund Quincy's failure to contribute to the Standard that week, labelling him "bothersome" and gripping that he "never sends anything till the last moment."
