Robert F. Heinecken was born on Oct. 29, 1931 in Denver, Colo. He received his B.A. (1951) and M.A. (1959) in Art from UCLA. He was an instructor in the Dept. of Art, UCLA, from 1960-1990 and was honored as professor emeritus in 1991. His work has been exhibited in galleries across the country, including a touring exhibition that originated at George Eastman House, and in West Germany, Tokyo, and Taipei.
