Edition Notes
Holograph, signed.
William Lloyd Garrison describes the delay on the railroad and his disagreeable journey. Nearly all the passengers were engaged playing cards and throwing dice. Garrison was welcomed at Lewis Tappan's. He lists the names of the participants at the Executive Committee meeting. Nobody knows the whereabouts of Theodore D. Weld; Weld's health is thought too poor for his going to Boston. Garrison will try to bring Weld along with him.
