Edition Notes

Holograph, signed.

William Lloyd Garrison will gladly ride with Samuel May, Jr., to Leicester tomorrow. Garrison will spend the afternoon at Effingham L. Capron's. Samuel May's meeting in Princeton [Worcester County, Mass.] "appears to have been a failure as to numbers." Garrison's meeting at the Cape [Barnstable County Anti-Slavery Convention] was "multitudinous" and "most encouraging."

Merrill, Walter M. Letters of William Lloyd Garrison, v.4, no.12.
