Edition Notes
Holograph, signed with initials.
Deborah Weston feels convinced that "the Boston Female [Anti-Slavery Society] has gone in fact. That fair for Mass. women spoke volumes." She gives an account of William Lloyd Garrison's lecture at New Bedford. "Very impressive & solemn & Garrison looked uncommonly well." In reference to proceeds made at the New Bedford fair, Deborah states that they will send $50 to redeem the pledge to the Massachusetts Society and what they get over and above this, to the Cradle of Liberty. Deborah feels easier about Warren Weston, "...who knows but that he may be some comfort to us yet."
