Kenneth William Hall was born in Brisbane in the early 1940.
Due to ill health most of my childhood I had plenty of time to day dream and observe all things that happened around me.
These three stories are part fiction and part true
about people and animals that have crossed my path
during my life time.

First Sentence

"For The Family The tongue of the lock could be heard falling into the keeper as the old oak door shut with force. Mary was alone. Her room was small and box like. A single chair that was made in the eighteenth century which needed repair was the only piece of furniture in it. Beside it was a small brown case containing her only possessions, the clothing which she wore ten years before when she first joined the convent and a special bottle of wine stamped with the Vatican seal. At the other end of the room was a weather beaten door, which led to freedom. Above her head hung a very dim light that did nothing to brighten the room, no natural sunlight found its way in here. Mary opened the case and took these belongings out and held them to her face, tears rolling freely as she sat down on the old chair. Wiping the tears away, her mind turned back the hands of time. She was an eight-year-old girl again when this had all started."
