Edition Notes

P. [4-7] at end on pages 24 x 18 cm. entitled: "A selection of arrangements from 'Fell Typographic Designs'.

"The text was machine-set in 13 pt Monotype (hot-metal) Van Dijck at Gloucester Typesetting and printed at The Old School Press on an antique Rives BFK paper. The individual displays of units were printed on Simili Japon. The central gathering of typographic arragements [sic] was printed on a laid Rives paper from OUP (see sample 31 in Bidwell's 'Fine Papers at the Oxford University Press, Whittington Press, 1999). The cover paper on de luxe copies was marbled by Ann Muir. The arrangements on the end-papers were hand-set originally by Miriam Macgregor at Whittington Press for the binding of Bidwell's book. The end-papers and dust-jacket of the standard copies are Hahnemuehle Bugra Butten. The binding was executed by Ludlow Bookbinders."--Colophon.

MASS copy: Bound in maroon calico cloth with printed paper title label on the spine. With rose dust-jacket printed in purple. "Of the 123 copies this is number 83"--Colophon. Colophon signed by the author.
