A young lady, Kelsie, goes to Scotland to claim an inheritance, but finds that it is not what she expected. Acting to save a wildcat from a hunter illegally on her land, she is hurt and then transported to the Witch World through a Gate. There comes to her friendship from the wildcat, a scout, the people of the Valley and also a power she didn't ask for and didn't want, which nevertheless led her to battle with the Dark's minions to save the world she found herself in.
