"The development of a practice profiling system in the medical group requires three basic elements: (1) identification of the types of information that would be most useful to the group, which can easily differ from medical group to medical group; (2) setting priorities to determine which aspects will be developed first, which includes recognizing immediate limits, including those imposed by data availability; and (3) gaining commitment for the resources necessary to developing or implementing the system."
