Life and sport on the Norfolk Broads, in the golden days

A fine nostalgic book written by a wealthy parson's son (the family had owned a chateau in France) looking back to the writer's boyhood in the middle years of the 19th century. The writer describes the sports available on the Broads, sailing, country pursuits, and interesting local characters. Those like myself who are against blood sports and the taking of animal life might find some of the reminiscences unpleasing, but on the whole the book is a good social comment on Norfolk rural life at that time.
Not an easy book to obtain these days. I bought my copy in a second hand warehouse in western France in 2009.
