CPS utilities provide compressed data, documentation, and extraction software for the Current population surveys. This is an older series that provides data on the agricultural work force. Questions were asked of children 8-13 years old and persons 14 years old or older who did some kind of farm work. Data is provided on the number of day persons hired as farm workers, farm operators, unpaid farm workers, and non-farm workers ; earnings from farm and non-farm employment ; the value of cash sales from farms ; overnight migration to different states or countries to do paid farm work ; and, the principal crop or livestock the person worked with the most during the year.
