Edition Notes
Pages [1-24] were printed by H. Coggeshall in an ed. of 316 copies at Utica, N.Y., in Dec. 1937 (cf. 1st colophon) and some copies were issued separately.
The present issue, a keepsake of a dinner given for F. W. Goudy by the Typophiles, includes "A note [by Coggeshall] on the 105th type designed by Fred W. Goudy and first used in printing this 'little booke'" (pages [25-38])
The main work was published in 1900 under title: How one friar met the devil and two pursued him.
