Caption title. At head of title: No. 221.

Running title: Effects of ardent spirits.

Listed in "recent publications" in the American tract magazine (Jan., 1829).

Imprint from colophon. The copy held by the American Antiquarian Society is in a volume published no later than 1829.

Three vignettes noted: one depicts two men drinking; another depicts a family outside their home awaiting the return of the father is signed: Anderson; a third, an interior scene of a family fighting, is also by Alexander Anderson.

Pages 2-20 also numbered 286-304.
