This book discusses the punctuation of English. It attempts to systematize the rules of punctuation so that they “make sense” and are logically consistent. The book provides extensive examples of how to punctuate sentences and provides reasons for why certain punctuation is correct or incorrect. One example is frequently followed by a variant example. Sometimes the variant example is simply punctuated in a different way to demonstrate a change in meaning accomplished through the use of different punctuation. Sometimes the variant example is both punctuated differently and written differently to demonstrate a change in meaning or emphasis.
