this was published in 1984, in London/UK. It is a whole spectrum of verse: humour, romance, concrete stuff and short experiments... but altogether a success, I think! Many of the verses have memorable phrases and clever insights; there is good use of language to produce rhythm and pleasing cadences. I was teaching school full-time, so not focusing much on poetry then... It is a collection of poems gathered together one summer holiday, after finding odd verses attempted through the years, since completing 'Whitlathe Walrus' (poems 1976) in Canada.
