The Frazer/Patton timber company of Nova Scotia had been very much a family concern for years, so Greer Patton supposed it was fairly natural that her father should have left her his half of the business, although she had seen nothing of him for years - blood was thicker than water, after all! At any rate, she felt she ought to go to Nova Scotia and survey the scene herself. But that meant her meeting Ty Frazer, the other partner, and then the sparks began to fly! For Ty made it clear that he considered Greer had treated her father shabbily and that she had no rights at all to the business. But what, after all, could he do about it? And why should she care what he thought, anyway?
"You can't force me to stay on here!"
By Ty Frazer could and did. What Greer regarded as a simple business transaction was fast turning into a war of wills.
Ty stubbornly refused to buy her half of the Nova Scotia lumber business she had inherited from her father. But why? He should have jumped at the chance to be rid of her. After all, they hated each other, didn't they?
Or did they?
