Work Description
a) Lynette and Dana had loved each other since childhood. Scholarly, handsome Dana knew he could mold Lynette - who had never challenged his authority or commitment to what was right - into the perfect "preacher's wife." Then a sophisticated beauty from New York comes to visit Dana's family. Before long, Dana seems captivated, and grows more and more critical of Lynette. Confused and hurt, Lynette reluctantly leaves on a family trip to Europe, plagued by questions and doubts: Will Dana walk into temptation? Has Lynette left her beloved in the grip of another woman?
b) This time when Lynette Brooke arrives home it is for good. After four years of college, she looks forward to a whole summertime of happiness. With Dana home too, it is sure to be the best summer ever. Lynette has loved dark, handsome Dana Whipple all her life. Now her dreams for their shared future can at last come true. Then suddenly, a shadow falls over Lynette's plans. Lynette Brooke’s world changes the minute Jessie “Belle” Smith steps off the train. Now city girl Jessie is out to capture Dana Whipple’s heart. . .even though Dana and Lynette are as good as engaged. When Lynette unwillingly follows her uncle to Europe, will her absence bring renewed love—or ruin?
About the Author, GRACE LIVINGSTON HILL (1865–1947) is known as the pioneer of Christian romance. Grace wrote over one hundred faith-inspired books during her lifetime. When her first husband died, leaving her with two daughters to raise, writing became a way to make a living, but she always recognized storytelling as a way to share her faith in God. She has touched countless lives through the years and continues to touch lives today. Her books feature moving stories, delightful characters, and love in its purest form.
Grace Livingston Hill began writing stories in 1877 at the tender age of twelve and didn’t stop until her death in 1947. But what may be more amazing is that she has sold over 84 million copies and is still loved by young and old alike.
