This edition of The book of common prayer is sometimes referred to as The prayer book of Edward VI. It is one of several editions printed in 1549, two others having been issued by Grafton himself, three by Edward Whitchurch, and one (in Worcester) by John Oswen.

Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy bound in straight-grained, ca. 19th-century brown morocco panelled in blind and gilt. The armorial bookplate of the Revererend John Frederick Watksinson Bullock is present on the front pastedown. The motto of Mildmay Fane (Solus Deus protector meus. W:) is written in an early hand (possibly his own) at the head of the title page. The text is lightly annotated, with underlines in quire A. A lengthy inscription in an early bookhand, possibly contemporaneous to the text, is present on Q6v.
