Henry Egbert Benson gives an account of Prudence Crandall's trial and persecution. The American Colonization Society has sanctioned Prudence Crandall's persecution. Nicholas Brown is president of the Colonization Society. The Colonization Society has appointed Andrew T. Judson as its agent. Another school for black children was founded by Mrs. Arthur Tappan.
